Container Lifting Lugs

ISO regulations applicable to both containers and freight handling, are described with particular reference to lifting freight units via bottom corner fittings. The Lifting Lug, known as the PRESTON-SHOE, was developed in the 1970's at the behest of the local dock labour force to provide a safe reliable device for lifting any type of freight unit from either side or end bottom corner fittings and has been in service since September 1979. This particular lug complies with all applicable ISO standards and "EC Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations". Each lug is tested to twice Working Load Limit (WLL) as stipulated by "International Labour Organisation" (ILO) Table of Test Loads" and issued with Declaration of Conformity, Proof Load, Test Certificates and Material Certification.
